Position Summary
• The Senior Sales Analyst reports to the Vice President, Contract Sales
• Located in Houston, TX.

The Senior Sales Analyst is a key contributor to the success of the sales team by providing advanced data analysis, strategic insights, and actionable recommendations. This role involves synthesizing complex data sets, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and playing a pivotal role in shaping sales strategies for optimal performance and growth.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Advanced Data Analysis:
• Conduct sophisticated analysis of sales data, market trends, and performance metrics.
• Provide deep insights into customer behavior, product performance, and sales channel effectiveness.
Sales Performance Evaluation
• Evaluate and analyze sales team performance against established targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Provide actionable recommendations to enhance individual and team performance.
Forecasting And Planning
• Lead the development of accurate and insightful sales forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership to align sales strategies with organizational goals and market dynamics.
Competitor And Market Analysis
• Conduct in-depth competitive analysis to identify market trends, pricing strategies, and areas for differentiation.
• Provide strategic recommendations based on competitive insights to drive sales growth.
Customer Segmentation And Targeting
• Utilize customer data to identify segmentation opportunities and support targeted marketing efforts.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to tailor campaigns to specific customer segments for maximum impact.
Sales Process Optimization
• Identify and address bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the sales process through data-driven insights.
• Collaborate with sales teams to implement process improvements and enhance overall efficiency.
CRM Management And Data Integrity
• Manage and optimize the customer relationship management (CRM) system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
• Uphold data integrity standards to guarantee reliable reporting and analysis.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate effectively with marketing, finance, and operations teams to gather relevant data and insights.
• Provide analytical support for cross-functional projects to drive overall business success.
Leadership And Mentorship
• Lead and mentor junior analysts within the team, providing guidance and fostering professional development.
• Act as a subject matter expert in sales analytics, sharing knowledge with the broader organization.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sales analytics.
• Propose and implement improvements to data analysis processes, reporting tools, and overall analytics capabilities.
Competencies
• Proficiency in advanced data analysis techniques, statistical modeling, and data visualization.
• Ability to translate data insights into strategic recommendations for sales growth.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor and guide junior analysts.
• Clear and concise communication of complex analytical findings to diverse stakeholders.
• Collaboration with teams across departments to achieve shared objectives.

Qualifications & Experience
• 4 – 6 years of experience in sales analysis, market research, or a similar analytical role, or equivalent military or practical experience.
• Proven experience in advanced data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, or equivalent.
• Expertise in working with customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
• In-depth knowledge of sales processes, forecasting, and market trends.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate’s unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.
In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark’s’ benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
