Job Title: Quantitative Analyst (Market Risk & Strong Python)

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)

Duration: 10 months (Possible Extension/Conversion)

Key Requirements:
• Expert Python skills – Production-level coding, debugging, and large-scale system development (not just offline analytics).
• SQL expertise – Ability to handle massive datasets efficiently.
• Fast learner – Must quickly grasp market risk concepts and asset classes.
• Collaborative mindset – Works dynamically with the team and front office.
• Market risk knowledge (VaR, stress testing, capital metrics)
• Experience with Angular or Tableau (nice to have)
• Background in trading, equities, rates, derivatives

Responsibilities:
• Develop and enhance Python-based analytical tools for market risk and capital metrics.
• Contribute to in-house Python libraries and production codebases.
• Partner with traders to improve risk assessment and portfolio hedging.
• Handle large-scale data processing and analysis using Python & SQL.

Qualifications:
• Master’s or PhD in a quantitative/technical field (Math, Stats, CS, Physics, Quant Finance, etc.).
• Experience in quantitative modeling, risk analytics, or related development.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and collaborative coding (Git/Bitbucket).
