Title: Senior Python Developer

Duration: 12 month contract w/ potential to extend 2 years

Location: Jacksonville, FL - Hybrid 3x week (flexible days)

Project Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer to join our dynamic team at a major financial institute. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in automating business tasks, developing robust and efficient code, and connecting various APIs to streamline operations. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
• Automate Business Tasks: Design, develop, and implement automation scripts to streamline and optimize business processes, reducing manual effort and increasing efficiency.
• Develop Robust Code: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code to support various business applications and services.
• API Integration: Connect and integrate APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange between different systems and platforms.
• Collaborate with Agile Team: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, business analysts, and other developers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Code Reviews and Testing: Participate in code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure the quality and reliability of the codebase.
• Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring the smooth operation of automated processes and integrated systems.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed code, APIs, and automated processes to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong experience in Python development, with a strong focus on automation and API integration.
• Proficiency in Python programming language.
• Experience with API development and integration (RESTful and SOAP).
• Familiarity with web development frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of agile development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
