Python Developer - AWS/Java
• Job Title: Python Developer - AWS/Java
• Location: Malvern, PA (Hybrid model with 3 days onsite)
• Duration: 9 months, with a possibility of extension
• Experience Level: 7-10+ years
• Interview process: 2 rounds, virtual
• Working on modernization projects, converting on-prem Java code to Python in AWS cloud
• Understanding of Java required
• Responsible for changes, updates, and enhancements to 13 deployed cloud applications and 5 in progress
• UI development skills are a plus but not necessary
• All cloud code will be written in Python
• Team currently consists of 2.5 developers and is structured as a product team internally
• Daily integrations run for 13 applications across various microservices
• Essential skills: 3-5 years Python experience, Understanding of Java, CI/CD pipeline experience, Knowledge of stored procedures and batch running to convert to microservices
• AWS certifications (AWS Cloud Practitioner) are a plus
• Web Front-end development experience (Type script, React, Angular) is a plus
• Knowledge of mainframe, DB2 is nice to have
• Some mainframe analysis may be required, but no coding.
