An electric utility client is looking for a Python Programmer who will assist the engineers to perform and conduct load interconnection studies, battery energy storage system charging table studies, generation interconnection studies.

Location: Pomona, CA 91768 (Remote)

Position: Python Programmer

Pay Rate: $45.33/hr. on W2

Duration: 12 months or longer

Schedule: 1st shift, M-F, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, This is a hybrid role with Wed/Thu onsite

RESPONSIBILITIES
• The individual will coordinate with team members to identify manual tasks that are suitable for automation. Their primary responsibility will be writing Python scripts, with proper documentation, to automate these tasks, followed by testing and debugging to ensure accuracy, reliability and efficiency.
• In addition to developing new scripts, they will review existing Python scripts to identify potential improvements. This involves optimizing the code for better performance and maintainability. Data analysis will also be a key part of their role, where they will use Python to process and analyze data, uncovering inefficiencies and areas for improvement, and generating actionable insights.
• They will assist in creating Power BI dashboards to visualize key metrics and track progress. Ensuring these dashboards are intuitive and provide valuable insights to stakeholders is crucial. Additionally, they will develop workflows using Power Automate to streamline repetitive tasks, integrating these workflows with other tools and systems to enhance overall efficiency.
• Continuous improvement is a significant aspect of their role. They will stay updated with the latest trends in automation and data analysis, proposing and implementing improvements to existing processes and tools. Throughout, they will provide training and support to team members on new scripts, dashboards, and workflows.

Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 2-3 years of experience minimum. This is a hybrid role with Wed/Thu onsite at PIV3.
• Python Programming: Writing, testing, debugging, and optimizing scripts.
• Data Analysis: Analyzing data with Python to generate insights.
• Collaboration and Communication: Coordinating with team members and stakeholders.
