We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with strong experience in Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly Cisco DNA Center) to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, managing, and optimizing enterprise network infrastructures using Cisco Catalyst Center for automation, monitoring, and security. This role requires expertise in software-defined networking (SDN), network automation, and Cisco Catalyst switches to ensure a highly available and secure network environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Design & Implementation
• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise networks using Cisco Catalyst Center and Cisco Catalyst switches.
• Design and deploy Software-Defined Access (SD-Access) solutions for enhanced security and automation.
• Implement network segmentation, policy-based automation, and assurance to optimize network performance.
Network Automation & Optimization
• Utilize Cisco Catalyst Center for AI-driven insights, automation, and policy-based network configurations.
• Automate network provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting using Cisco APIs, Python, Ansible, and scripting.
• Optimize network performance through real-time analytics, telemetry, and predictive maintenance.
Security & Compliance
• Enforce Zero Trust security models, identity-based access controls (IBAC), and network segmentation.
• Integrate Cisco Secure Network Analytics (Stealthwatch) and Identity Services Engine (ISE) for enhanced security.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and corporate security policies.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting
• Utilize Cisco Catalyst Center Assurance to proactively detect and resolve network issues.
• Conduct network health assessments and optimize configurations for high availability.
• Troubleshoot Layer 2/3 network issues across wired and wireless networks.
Collaboration & Documentation
• Work with cross-functional teams (security, cloud, DevOps) to align networking strategies.
• Create and maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Train internal teams on Catalyst Center capabilities and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center), Catalyst switches, and SD-Access.
• Experience with Cisco ISE, Stealthwatch, and ThousandEyes for security and network visibility.
• Proficiency in network automation using Python, Ansible, or REST APIs.
• Deep understanding of routing & switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP).
• Strong knowledge of wireless networking, QoS, and network telemetry.
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid network integrations.
• Cisco certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, or Cisco Catalyst Center Specialist (preferred).
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with SD-WAN and ACI.
• Knowledge of container networking (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Familiarity with Zero Trust frameworks and security best practices.
