

PowerBuilder Developer

Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a highly skilled PowerBuilder Developer & IT Analyst with expertise in PowerBuilder development (version 7 or higher) and advanced T-SQL query writing for Sybase and MS SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data management, source control, unit testing, documentation, and production support, as well as a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and change management.
Responsibilities:
PowerBuilder Development: Modify PowerBuilder source code to document and manage application data processes.
T-SQL Query Writing: Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, migration, and cleansing.
Data Management: Perform data profiling, mapping, validation, and analysis.
Source Control: Use version control tools like TFS, Azure DevOps, or Git for managing code.
Unit Testing: Document and conduct unit testing to ensure program changes are working as expected.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications and process flows.
Testing: Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to support test scenarios.
Production Support: Identify, analyze, and resolve issues, documenting findings and root causes.
Change Management: Follow established change management procedures and contribute to execution plans.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in SQL query writing, including complex queries for Sybase and MS SQL Server databases.
5+ years of experience in T-SQL query writing.
5+ years of experience in documenting processes and conducting unit testing.
3+ years of experience in PowerBuilder development (version 7 or higher).
3+ years of experience with source control tools such as TFS, Azure DevOps, or Git.
Some college coursework in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Location & Work Schedule:
Hybrid schedule with two days on-site per week (Wednesdays mandatory) in Lansing MI
