Powerbuilder Developer
Location: Lansing, MI (2 days onsite presence required)
Type: 13 months contract on W2
Work Model: Hybrid - Onsite 2 days a week (Wednesdays are mandatory to be onsite. The other onsite day can be flexible.).

Job Description:
Looking for a PowerBuilder Developer and IT Analyst with a strong background in PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher) and advanced skills in T-SQL query writing for Sybase and MS SQL Server databases. Day-to-day activities include data management, source control (TFS/Azure DevOps/GIT), unit testing, documentation, testing, production support, change management, software development, and data integrity.
Required Education:
• Some college preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline.
Required Skills:
• PowerBuilder Development: Experience with PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher) (5+ years).
• SQL Query Writing: High level of SQL query writing skills to write complex queries to pull data from Sybase and MS SQL Server databases (10+ years).
• T-SQL Query Writing: 10+ years of experience.
• Unit Testing and Documentation: 10+ years of experience documenting and performing unit testing.
• Source Control Technologies: Experience working with source control technologies such as TFS/Azure DevOps or GIT (5+ years).
• Documentation: Experience creating, updating, and maintaining documentation for programs, system specs, and flow diagrams (10+ years).
• Client and Business Analyst Collaboration: Ability to work with the client and/or Business Analyst to support test scenarios (5+ years).
• Problem Analysis: Ability to analyze and document identified problems to determine root cause and provide root cause analysis (5+ years).
• Change Management: Follow change management procedures and provide input to execute changes (5+ years).
Remote or On-site:
• Local Candidates: Strongly preferred.
• Non-local Candidates: Must be willing to relocate at their own expense from acceptance with no delays and follow the hybrid schedule (onsite 2 days a week, with Wednesdays mandatory to be onsite).
