PL/SQL Developer - Modernizing Financial Data Solutions
Location: Charlotte, NC - Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Important: This role requires the ability to commute to the client site in Charlotte, NC from day one and work directly on their W2.
Responsibilities:
• Oracle Exadata Expertise: Leverage your deep understanding of Oracle Exadata (12c and above, currently 19c) to manage, optimize, and ensure the performance of our database infrastructure.
• PL/SQL Development & Modernization: You'll be working with existing PL/SQL code (packages, procedures, functions, triggers, indexing) associated with legacy ETL processes. Critically, you will be involved in refactoring and optimizing this code as we transition to modern ETL tools. Troubleshooting support for existing processes will also be a key function.
• Dynamic SQL Mastery: Develop and maintain efficient and secure dynamic SQL queries.
• Workflow Automation & Orchestration: Design and automate data processing workflows using scheduling tools like Autosys (experience with Control-M or IBM tools is a plus).
• Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize SQL queries using Explain Plan and other performance tuning techniques.
• Data Transformation & Preparation: Transform and prepare data for seamless integration with reporting dashboards, simplifying the reporting process and minimizing downstream processing needs.
• Requirements Elicitation & Collaboration: Collaborate closely with small business lending teams, particularly those focused on digital analytics (including AB Initio), to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Digital Transformation Support: Contribute to the transformation of small business processes using tools like nCino, ensuring seamless data integration with our analytics platform.
• Dashboard Integration & Reporting: Integrate data into real-time dashboards for actionable insights and reporting.
• Regulatory Reporting Compliance: Manage regulatory reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Process Automation & Optimization: Identify opportunities to recreate and optimize existing processes for increased automation and efficiency.
• Performance Tuning & Optimization: Apply your expertise in performance tuning to ensure optimal data processing and system performance.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in data engineering, specifically with Oracle Exadata and PL/SQL development.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
