Brooksource is looking for an Operations Engineer to join our client in maintaining systems in GCP. This role will focus on net new delivery and "keeping the lights on" for critical applications.
• 4+ year hands-on experience with GCP and 10+ years in IT or IT consulting roles
• Need to have one or more GCP certifications
• Worked on any of the service-mesh architecture, preferably netflix stack
• Robust understanding of resilient, highly available application architectures on GCP
• Experience architecting an entire cloud environment including account structure and understanding of network controls such as Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), subnets, and security groups
• Built GKE architecture for scalability, performance and resiliency
• Have run containers on GKE and been a GKE Administrator
• Created pipelines for CI/CD using Jenkins, Artifactory, Google Artifact Repository for deploying services in GKE
• Strong software engineering background with heterogeneous infrastructure automation experience
• Working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, but you could just as easily individually scope and deliver a cloud engagement within your realm of expertise.
• Experience with at least one cloud orchestration tool such as Terraform. Terraform Associate Certification preferred
• Ability to provide technical feedback and leadership to other team members
• Client-facing presentation & problem-solving skills adaptable to both technical and business audiences
• Experience in TCP/IP concepts and application protocols.
• Monitoring/Dashboarding – Prometheus Stack

Skills
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools and technologies –
• Google Kubernetes Engine, Google Compute Engine & Google Spanner
• Design monitoring in Google Stack driver
• Understanding of Googles IAM infrastructure plus Networking
• Unix/Linux skills troubleshooting on a kernel level
