• Must be local to Dallas/ Fort Worth, TX area or willing to relocate the Dallas/ Fort Worth, TX area
• Must be able to work on W-2 basis
Job Description
- Agile Leadership: Champion Agile principles and practices throughout the project lifecycle. Lead Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Guide the team in adopting and adhering to Agile methodologies.
- Scope and Iteration Management: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, breaking them down into manageable iterations. Develop and maintain a well-defined product backlog and ensure Timely delivery of prioritized features
- Resource Allocation: Identify and allocate necessary resources, both internal and external, required for project success. Foster a collaborative and self-organizing team environment that encourages ownership and accountability
- Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify potential risks and issues within the Agile framework. Work closely with the team to address challenges and impediments promptly, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate open and transparent communication with stakeholders, providing regular project updates, progress reports, and demos. Ensure alignment between project goals, user stories, and business objectives.
- Technical Proficiency: Possess a strong understanding of the technical aspects of the projects being managed within an Agile context and possess an understanding of data flows in an enterprise.
- Quality Assurance: Drive a culture of quality and continuous testing within Agile iterations. Collaborate with the team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, functional increments in each iteration.
- Change Management and Adaptability: Embrace change and uncertainty inherent in Agile projects. Guide the team and stakeholders through iterations, ensuring a smooth transition to new features and updates.
- Agile Coaching and Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members on Agile practices, fostering skill development and Agile maturity.
• At least 5 years experience managing SDLC related projects
• Manages a set of interdependent projects
• Identifies and manages scope, schedule, budget, quality and risks on large projects
• Prepares financial updates, analysis, and forecast for assigned projects/programs; track expenses and recommends financially sound actions to leadership team
• Mentors fellow team members
• Accelerates business adoption through effective change enablement practices
• Drives independent teams to deliver business value
• Provides strategic vision and direction for projects / programs
The projects are mid-tier development and modernization
• Largely outsourced to development vendor
• Onshore/offshore model
• Hybrid work environment
• First project will be mostly waterfall
• Second project may be more hybrid agile
• Full requirements and user workflows defined and approved for first project; work will begin with updated charter and then development
