Role description

We’re looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Freelance Lead Developer to join our client's team and bring forward-thinking processes to their growing agency team. You’ll play a key role in supporting the development of digital products for multiple clients, working closely with UX and UI Designers.

This role is hands-on and requires expertise in writing HTML, CSS and JavaScript, as well as at least 2 years of experience with back-end programming such as PHP, Python, and Ruby.

While the role is remote, you MUST reside in the following states to be considered for this contract/freelance position: IL, CO, TN, IN, MO.

Responsibilities:

   • Design and develop overall web architecture

   • Collaborate with UX and UI designers to bring designs to life—pixel-perfect

   • Use HubSpot internally, while supporting client work primarily in Salesforce Marketing Cloud

   • Troubleshoot technical issues and support campaign tracking via tools like Google Tag Manager

   • Help build and scale simple CMS or eCommerce integrations (Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, etc.)

   • Ensuring the entire stack is designed and built for speed and scalability

   • Work closely with UX and UI Designers and communicate clearly for varying levels of development knowledge

Requirements:

   • Minimum 6 years of experience writing HTML, CSS and JavaScript

   • 2+ years relevant back-end programming - PHP, Python, and Ruby

   • Familiar with supported frameworks - React, Vue, Node.js, Laravel, etc...

   • Experience building and optimizing email templates and workflows

   • Comfortable working with marketing teams and explaining technical concepts simply

   • Good understanding of marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics, GTM)

   • Nice-to-have: experience with eCommerce platforms
