JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Data Scientist with TS/SCI eligibility to support a government contract with the Department of Defense. This role involves maintaining and enhancing existing analytic capabilities in a classified cloud environment, working with large datasets, developing machine learning models, and ensuring high-quality data analysis and visualization.
MAIN OBJECTIVES

Maintain and optimize existing analytic capabilities using R, SQL, GeoArrow, Keycloak, and DuckDB Spatial in the Clairvoyant cloud environment.
Develop and enhance geospatial data visualizations using Leaflet, deck.gl, and other mapping tools.
Build and test machine learning models to support intelligence analysis, including clustering and time series forecasting.
Lead the development of ETL processes for data ingestion based on user-defined requirements.
Ensure that data processing is completed within performance thresholds (e.g., processing 1 million+ points in under a minute).
Collaborate with government stakeholders to develop actionable insights through dashboards and analytics.

SCHEDULE OF WORK

This role requires full-time availability, with occasional flexibility based on the operational needs of the contract.

PLACE OF PERFORMANCE

Work will be performed in a classified environment at a government facility or secure network locations.

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE

Initial contract period is expected to be 12 months, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Active TS/SCI clearance or SCI eligibility.
Expertise in R, SQL, GeoArrow, Posit Workbench, and DuckDB Spatial.
Demonstrated experience in geospatial data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
Proven experience with dashboard development and visual analytics (e.g., Leaflet, deck.gl).
Experience working in classified environments supporting defense or intelligence projects.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead technical projects in a dynamic environment.
