

Lead Cloud Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and manage AWS EKS clusters, ensuring high availability and security.
• Develop and enforce network policies and security policies to enhance cluster security and compliance.
• Optimize Kubernetes workloads using Karpenter for efficient autoscaling and cost management.
• Implement Istio for service mesh management, traffic routing, observability, and security.
• Automate cloud infrastructure deployment and management using IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines with Kubernetes best practices.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud performance, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Stay updated with the latest cloud security practices and implement compliance and governance controls.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure management, and Kubernetes administration.
• Expertise in AWS EKS, Kubernetes networking, and cluster security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with network policies (Calico, Cilium, or similar) and security policies (OPA, Kyverno, or PodSecurityPolicies).
• Strong knowledge of Karpenter for Kubernetes workload autoscaling.
• Experience with Istio for service mesh implementation and security.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog), and cloud security principles.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with RBAC, IAM, and cloud security best practices.\
