Jira / Confluence Consultant

We are seeking a Jira / Confluence Consultant for a Central Government programme on an initial 12-month contract, paying up to £650 per day (umbrella, inside IR35).

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 40% on-site in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle, or Sheffield (may increase to 60%)

​

Security Clearance: To either hold or to be able to pass SC clearance

​

Required Skills:

   • Expert-level Jira and Confluence administration

   • Atlassian plugin configuration (incl. ScriptRunner/Groovy)

   • Migration of Jira/Confluence projects, users, and spaces

   • Workflow/scheme co-design with delivery leads

   • Performance tuning and optimisation

   • Stakeholder engagement and clear communication

   • Secure access management (roles, groups, permissions)

The Role:

   • Lead Jira/Confluence migration across a large digital transformation programme

   • Design and deliver bespoke Jira projects for cross-functional teams

   • Integrate Jira with ServiceNow for strategic incident management

   • Establish efficient admin processes for user and project requests

   • Coordinate upgrades and communicate changes to users

   • Support agile delivery teams in a fast-paced environment

Desirable:

   • Experience in agile teams

   • AWS infrastructure knowledge
