Job Summary
Our Storage and Distribution Team in VCD leads on the storage and distribution of vaccines and countermeasures, working closely with delivery partners such as 3PLs, NHS supply teams, and all UK nations.
We ensure seamless delivery by maintaining robust relationships, upholding the highest quality standards, and leveraging our expertise in GDP (Good Distribution Practice) to safeguard supply chain integrity and public health.

Job Description
Daily operational management of our 3PL is a critical component of our work. This includes monitoring contractual performance, addressing operational issues promptly, and ensuring that delivery schedules and service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.
By maintaining close oversight of 3PL activities, we can quickly identify and mitigate risks, ensuring reliable and uninterrupted distribution of vaccines and countermeasures.
The Inventory Analyst is responsible: -
• For monitoring and managing inventory levels, analysing storage capacity data against forecast demand and ensuring the efficient flow of goods in the supply chain.
• Generating actionable insights through implementing data driven decisions, the Inventory Analyst leverages dashboard creation and data visualisation tools to enable clear reporting cross-government, to customers and to the 3PL provider.
• Ensuring inventory accuracy across all locations by conducting regular inventory audits, reconciling discrepancies and escalating where necessary.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline inventory control and reduce costs, in collaboration with cross-governmental teams, NHS and 3PL provider.

• Inventory Management and Accuracy: Proven ability to monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels, conduct audits, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure accuracy across multiple locations in collaboration with 3PL and programme teams.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Experience in creating dashboards and utilising data visualisation tools to provide clear, actionable insights for cross-governmental teams, customers, and 3PL providers, supporting financial audits and decision-making.

This role is being offered as hybrid working based at any of our Core HQ’s. We offer great flexible working opportunities at UKHSA and operate using a hybrid working model where business needs allow. This provides us with greater flexibility about how and where we work, to get the best from our workforce.
As a hybrid worker, you will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of your contractual working hours (approximately 3 days a week pro rata, (averaged over a month) working at one of UKHSA's core HQ’s (Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, and London)
Our core HQ offices are modern and newly refurbished with excellent city centre transport link and benefit from benefit from co-location with other government departments such as the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC).
Security Clearance Level Requirement
