Job Title: PowerBuilder Developer & IT Analyst
Location: Hybrid Office (Onsite & Remote)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled PowerBuilder Developer & IT Analyst with expertise in PowerBuilder (version 7 or higher) and advanced T-SQL query writing for Sybase and MS SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for software development, data management, unit testing, documentation, production support, and change management while ensuring data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
• PowerBuilder Development – Modify, enhance, and maintain PowerBuilder applications, documenting application workflows and data processes.
• T-SQL Query Writing – Write and optimize complex SQL queries for Sybase and MS SQL Server databases to support data extraction, migration, and cleansing.
• Data Management – Perform data profiling, mapping, validation, and analysis to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
• Source Control – Utilize TFS/Azure DevOps, GIT, or other source control systems for version management.
• Unit Testing – Conduct and document unit tests to verify software functionality and program changes.
• Documentation – Create and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications and flow diagrams.
• Testing Support – Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to support test scenarios and troubleshooting.
• Production Support – Analyze and resolve application issues by conducting root cause analysis and providing long-term solutions.
• Change Management – Follow established change management processes to ensure seamless execution of software updates and modifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: Some college coursework in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline is preferred.
• Experience:
• 5+ years of PowerBuilder Development (Version 7 or higher)
• 10+ years of T-SQL Query Writing for Sybase & MS SQL Server
• 10+ years of Data Management (profiling, mapping, validation, and analysis)
• 5+ years of Source Control (TFS/Azure DevOps, GIT)
• 10+ years of Unit Testing & Documentation
