Job Overview
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is actively seeking a skilled contractor for a one-year project to support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of data extracts, ETL batch jobs, and reporting mechanisms for the NC Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST) initiative. This role requires expertise in utilizing Cúram Software and Oracle to analyze, design, and deliver data solutions that address complex reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze and define reporting requirements for NC FAST Case Management System reports.
• Design, develop, test, and document data interfaces and reporting solutions.
• Enhance existing data extracts and reports to meet evolving business needs.
• Gather and document requirements for both new and modified data extracts and reports.
• Develop intricate SQL queries against large datasets, including CLOBS/XML, and necessary supporting data structures.
• Assess and optimize existing queries to ensure performance and accuracy.
• Monitor operational performance metrics and validate data integrity through auditing.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation.
Required Skills
• Proficient understanding of SQL with a capability to write complex queries.
• Experience with data extraction and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with Oracle database management and Cúram Software.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to document requirements effectively.
• Knowledge of reporting metrics and dashboard creation.
• Aptitude for diagnosing operational issues and developing relevant tracking data.
