Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of our enterprise-wide data architecture strategy. This individual will play a key role in driving data-driven initiatives, ensuring scalable and secure data platforms, and enabling advanced analytics and business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in data architecture, Java development, cloud platforms (especially AWS), and modern data engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise data architecture across the organization.
• Define data strategy, standards, and best practices for data modeling, integration, storage, and governance.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and analytics teams to align data architecture with business and technical requirements.
• Lead the design and development of data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using modern data engineering tools and frameworks.
• Drive the migration of on-premise data systems to AWS cloud-based architectures.
• Provide technical leadership in Java-based data processing and application integration efforts.
• Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to support ongoing innovation.
• Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related fields.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise data architectures.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and its integration with data platforms.
• Deep understanding of data engineering concepts such as batch/streaming data processing, ETL pipelines, and data lakes.
• Expertise in AWS services including (but not limited to): Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR, Lambda, and RDS.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Familiarity with modern data platforms and tools such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, or Snowflake is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
