Automation & DevOps Engineer - SC Cleared - Inside IR35 - 12-Month Contract

Location: Hybrid - Must be able to travel to Derby as required

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Automation & DevOps Engineer to support the digital transformation of operational services within a world-class digital operations support function. This role is perfect for a highly skilled C# developer with expertise in Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and automation.
You will play a pivotal role in automating a well-established ITIL Service Catalogue, ensuring services are secure, robust, and maintainable while delivering at pace with the right level of governance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Automate manual processes into self-service requests using C#, Azure DevOps, and microservices.
• Develop secure, maintainable, and robust automated services.
• Configure and deploy Azure resources using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Create unit tests using .NET and xUnit.
• Automate configuration and package management using PowerShell.
• Work in an agile environment, adapting to evolving stakeholder needs.
Essential Skills & Experience:
• Strong C# development experience.
• Expertise in Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline creation.
• Terraform experience for deploying and configuring Azure resources.
• Strong experience in Git version control.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell Scripting.
• Experience in product development life cycle.
Desirable Skills:
• Experience with Docker & Kubernetes.
• Understanding of ITIL principles.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow APIs and integration.
• Experience using Sonarqube.
• Knowledge of Ansible and/or Chocolatey for configuration management.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be a UK national (ideally not dual-national).
• SC Clearance required - candidates must already hold valid SC clearance.
• Must be able to travel to Derby as required.
