DevOps Engineer (Contract)
Location: Onsite 2x/week – South Bay Area, CA
Duration: 6-month contract

Overview
We are partnering with a leading Silicon Valley tech company to find an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week onsite in either the South Bay Area office.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in Python, automation, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions
• Work with cloud platforms (primarily AWS) to support scalable and secure infrastructure
• Develop scripts and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Deploy and manage containers using Docker and Kubernetes
• Implement effective branching strategies and code review processes
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk
• Manage Linux and Windows servers, configure network services, and optimize system performance and security
Qualifications
• 7+ years of hands-on DevOps experience
• 7+ years of hands-on Python experience
• Strong knowledge of Git and version control workflows
• Proficient in one or more scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
• Familiar with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
• Solid understanding of system administration on both Linux and Windows platforms
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
