Job title: Database Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid)

Job Type: W2 contract

Duration: 12+ contract possible extension

Years of Exp:

5+ years of work experience in Card and Payments

Responsibilities:

Should have basic DB Design Concepts and able to write SQL Queries

Should have any backend technology knowledge like API, who can relate the DB schema design schema with business logic implemented in frontend and backend

Required:
• The candidate is not going to code in Java but should have a solid understanding in the DB technologies to create Logical and Physical Data models for the cards and payments platform
• In depth knowledge of DB who can create the DB design for building new products from scratch

Desired Skills:
• Engineer with distributed (Java Preferred) / NOSQL / big-data / database skills
• Strong NOSQL database knowledge like Cassandra, Mongo etc. and understand difference between SQL and NOSQL
• Able to collaborate with multiple teams and Pos
• Strong technical knowledge in SQL development (Should be good in writing queries, Stored procedures)
• Good to have experience in migration projects
• Familiar with Software Development Life Cycle
• Working knowledge of credit cards platforms
• Exposure to front, middle back-office platforms
• Familiarity with emerging payment technologies and trends in the fintech industry
