

Data Warehouse Programmer (SQL Developer)
Our client in the Providence, RI area continues to expand their IT team and are currently looking for a talented Data Warehouse Programmer with strong SQL development skills.
This is a contract-to-hire position. The candidate will work for 3 to 6 months as a consultant and then will need to transition into a full-time employee of our client.
If the candidate is local, they can work at the corporate offices. If the candidate is remote, they can work from home but have to relocate to the Providence, RI area if offered a full-time position since all full-time employees are required to work in the corporate offices.

Compensation: $45 per hour. 40-hour work week.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a Data Warehouse Engineer with expertise in SQL Server and experience working in an Azure environment. This role is primarily focused on SQL development, including writing and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes within a Microsoft SQL Server environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing, database management, and performance optimization, ensuring data integrity and efficiency in cloud-based platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes in a Microsoft SQL Server environment.
• Work with large datasets to support data warehousing and business intelligence needs.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and performance optimization within cloud-based systems, particularly in Azure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement efficient solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance database performance.
• Support ongoing database maintenance, migration, and automation efforts.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience).
• 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server development, with at least 3+ years of strong SQL development.
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes in a Microsoft SQL Server environment.
• Experience working with Azure-based data solutions is preferred.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
