Data Warehouse Architect
Title: Data Warehouse Architect V
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid – 2-days onsite per week)
Note: This role is NOT open to C2C or 3rd party candidates
The Data Warehouse Architect V is responsible for:
• Managing complex Linux security models on DW ETL servers (servers are administered by another group, but our team is responsible for their security structure and authorization of user access to groups)
• Teradata security and access
• Managing complex Common Batch Framework and Common Scheduler tasks to ensure current and reliable data is available for critical business processes and decision-making
• Data Warehouse change management infrastructure and all promotions of code and DDL; performing build engineer tasks for both manual and automated promotion processes
• Migrating three separate DWs, supporting four client program areas to Common Processes
• Managing DW standards and processes, including their adherence to SOM policies and procedures
• Conducting elevated access and user audits
• Mitigating any audit findings, providing input to SSPs
• Data Warehouse Continuity Planning and testing
• Providing support for escalated Data Warehouse issue troubleshooting and resolution
Position Qualifications:
• 12+ years of Teradata experience
• 10+ years of SQL experience
• 10+ years of Shell Scripting experience
• 5+ years of Linux experience
• Experience supporting the loading of data from multiple source systems
• Experience providing targeted training and technical expertise to development teams to enable them to better troubleshoot and support their batches
• Proven track record of working independently within a collaborative team
• Ability to make decisions on the correct path forward in various situations while staying consistent with client policies
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
