

Data Governance Program Manager

Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Data Governance Program Manager:
The Data Governance Program Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, focusing on data quality, compliance, master data management (MDM) and metadata management. You will leverage your experience with data governance tools to ensure data governance practices are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. This role requires a combination of leadership, technical expertise, and communication skills.
Required Skills for the Data Governance Program Manager:
• Experience leading the design and implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and processes across client organizations.
• 6+ years’ experience working with metadata management, data catalogs, data lineage, and data classification.
• Experience utilizing data governance tools to manage and enhance data governance, including data cataloging, classification, lineage, and data lifecycle management (Purview, Alation, Collibra, Informatica, etc.)
• Experience in Azure
Preferred:
• Experience in a consulting environment is a plus, with demonstrated success in client-facing roles.
• Extensive experience in data governance, data management, or data strategy roles.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Purview, including hands-on expertise in implementing data governance and compliance frameworks using the platform.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g., SC-400: Microsoft Information Protection Administrator) are a big plus. Any Data Governance tools experience is plus.
