Data Governance Analyst

Northwest Partners is looking to hire an experienced Data Governance Analyst to work on a project with one of our premier clients in the cybersecurity industry. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data retention schedules, labeling, and governance frameworks, leveraging tools like BigID for data discovery and OneTrust for data mapping.

Applicants must be able to work for any US employer without additional work visa sponsorship.

What YOU will do:
• Develop, implement, and manage data retention schedules in alignment with regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Apply data labeling strategies to categorize and classify sensitive information effectively.
• Utilize BigID for data discovery, ensuring compliance with data privacy and security policies.
• Support OneTrust data mapping initiatives to track data flow and improve governance processes.
• Collaborate with compliance, security, and IT teams to enhance data governance policies.
• Monitor data lifecycle management and recommend improvements for data integrity and protection.
• Assist in audits and regulatory reporting by providing insights into data governance practices.

What YOU will bring us:
• Proven experience in data governance, data retention, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of data classification and labeling methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with BigID for data discovery and OneTrust for data mapping.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, or HIPAA.
• Ability to analyze complex data structures and recommend governance improvements.
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
