Seeking a Data Engineer (Snowflake + Azure) in this role, you will be part of a small but effective team working with leading analytical and AI platforms that directly impact customers, both internally and externally. The organization is evolving to leverage newer technologies from a variety of leading data vendors including Snowflake and Microsoft Azure services. This position would work on frontline projects critical to client's growth plans. You would select, design, prototype, develop and implement technology solutions to deliver the future of client working directly with IT management.
Responsibilities:Deliver solutions that leverage capabilities of Snowflake, DBT (Data Build Tool) and Microsoft Azure platform, and other various tools.
Design and build out AI and ML capabilities.
Architect and expand the company data warehouse and analytical capabilities with a focus on data quality.
Migrate existing data engineering workflows from Azure Synapse Analytics to the modern Snowflake Analytics environment
Work with business leaders to drive better business decisions and outcomes leveraging data that make a real impact on the company and our customers.
Drive platform and technology choices and own solution approach and timelines.
Maintain right-sized technical documentation. Lead BI solution design sessions, integrations, configurations, API and other interface documentation as it relates to data and AI accessibility.
Implementation of data automation processes leveraging Azure Data Factory, and Azure Function API’s for data ingestion into Azure Data Lake
Work efficiently in an Agile environment to ensure team productivity and velocity.
Leverage best practices and prioritize enterprise usability while developing architectural solutions.
Serve as project manager for data-related projects, such as but not limited to, migration to Snowflake platform.
Requirements
Undergraduate degree in an applicable area, or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
Mixed experience with Snowflake and Azure Data Factory.
Storage, DBT (Data Built Tool) and Azure Functions and Jupyter Notebooks (Python).
Microsoft-based business intelligence solutions (Azure AI, Power BI, etc.) is strongly preferred
Track record for learning and applying new technologies.
Experience in using Agile methods and driving data platform decisions.
Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of development best practices and methodologies
Experience with a database query languages and DB management (SQL Server, T-Sql, DB2, SnowSQL etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Snowflake and adjacent technologies.
Experience with reporting and ML (Machine Learning) tools such as Power BI, Copilot or Azure Machine Learning.
Experience importing/exporting data to/from ERP (MS Dynamics 365 BC).
Development experience with Microsoft and Snowflake Communities.
Exposure to data syncing technologies partnered with Snowflake (Snowpipe, Omnata)
Knowledge of building data integration solutions for consumption from Snowflake such as Snowpark
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $135,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
