

Data Engineer (Hybrid Position)
Job Summary:
The Data Engineer will act as a technical leader in a dynamic, agile development environment, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of data solutions that support key business objectives. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to analyze requirements, evaluate alternatives, and develop innovative solutions for complex data integration and transformation challenges.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a technical leader on agile teams, guiding development efforts across the SDLC.
• Analyze business objectives, user requirements, operational procedures, and problems to identify and implement effective technical solutions.
• Conduct studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives to enhance business processes through automation and system improvements.
• Develop complex SQL scripts for data transformation, integration, and optimization in Oracle and Snowflake environments.
• Design and implement automation workflows using Informatica Power Center/IICS for data extraction and transformation.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering Team members to create optimal data models and ETL strategies.
• Validate SQL scripts, Informatica jobs, and database views for accuracy and performance.
• Automate verification and validation of data pipelines and processing steps.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work with architects to ensure scalable and efficient data acquisition designs.
• Create system and functional mockups and review them with stakeholders for validation.
• Develop technical specifications, system diagrams, and support documentation.
• Assist with configuration of development tools and environments.
• Interpret and assess evolving business requirements to suggest and implement system enhancements.
• Support the integration of Tableau dashboards with web-based applications.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
