Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer (Customer Data Platform (CDP)) for a Contract position with a client located in Pleasant Ridge, MI (Remote).
Pay Range: $55/hr - $70/hr, The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors

Customer Data Platform (CDP): Data Engineer Role Purpose:
This role will apply his/her expertise in data and analytics to power customer experiences and journeys across channels. This role is accountable for designing, building, and governing the data model within Customer Data Platform (CDP) that supports Client requirements. They will also be accountable for configuring integrations within the platform on time, within budget, and in compliance with Client standards and practices. A successful candidate will be able to display thought leadership and present platform-specific best practices and options. They work effectively in a highly matrixed environment from project inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
• Collect Client data requirements based on prioritized use cases. Identify data needs from broad stakeholders, design and build an efficient and scalable data solution to enable personalization at scale.
• Build designs for, and present solutions for data collection, management, and processing.
• You will be expected to present options/considerations with respect to methods for collecting data for identity resolution, consumer journey and experience, and analytics.
• Writes sophisticated yet optimized data transformations in SQL/Python to generate services consumed by business stakeholders such as Marketing Operations, Sales Operations, Analytics, BI, and ML/AI teams.
• Develop and maintain datasets, pipelines, and Client CDPs to enable advanced segmentation, targeting, automation, and analytics.
• Manage and continuously improve SLAs of critical data pipelines and constantly improve efficiency and data quality.
• Facilitate data integration and transformation requirements for moving data between applications, ensuring interoperability of applications within Client platform(s) with CDP at the core.
• Develop and improve the current data architecture, data quality, monitoring, and data availability.
• Analyzes and communicates the feasibility of use cases based on available data in support of Client needs. This means evaluating large amounts of existing data sets, data availability and quality, and designing solutions that can scale
• Creates and secures Client approval on the data solution, required transformations, throughputs, and integrations with end-point platforms.
• Considers points of failure and options to mitigate risks.
• Within design and build, it considers the Client's existing data models to enrich measurement and customer journeys. May build custom solutions to ingest data into a platform such as Adobe or Google
• Designs, builds data consumption layers, and keeps supporting specifications frequently updated and current
• Configures integrations as required, including (not limited to) martech, ad tech, and optimization platforms as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Meta API, Adobe Target, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, CRM Solutions, Adobe Campaign, Marketo, etc.
• Deploys the final solution to production and provides ongoing support of the solution
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to data consumption and delivery, including profile collapse
• Maintain appropriate controls and documentation to ensure compliance of audit and privacy requirements
• Stay on top of emerging data engineering trends and software for customer-centric digital experience personalization
• Stays abreast of industry technology innovations, new business practices, and third-party technology solutions.
Key Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable experience
• 3+ years in data management with a focus on streaming/digital data
• Adobe Experience Platform Certification (or equivalent)
• Practical/hands-on experience using SQL, Python, and API Development
• Knowledge of digital data collection methods (e.g., Data Collections, JavaScript, Data Layers)
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to conceptualize and communicate highly detailed technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Effectively works in a highly matrixed environment across Strategy, Business, Marketing, Analytics, Technology, Finance, Customer Success
• Solid understanding of:
• Data design and architecture
• XDM & Mix-Ins
• Relational database concepts
• Data management, segmentation, ETL best practices
