Data Engineer with Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Experience - 6 Month Contract/ Contract-to-Hire
About the Company - A Chicago financial services firm is looking to grow its Data team and looking for a Senior Data Engineer with at least 5 years of professional experience. You will be responsible for data architecture, pipelines, mapping, transformation, and orchestration. You will be utilizing Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse, so at least 2 years of working with these tools is needed for this role. The role is Hybrid, in downtown Chicago, so you must be local to the Chicago area and open to working in the city 3 days a week.
About the Role - Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience working as a Data Engineer
• 2+ years working with ADF, Azure Synapse Analytics or Fabric
• Data Architecture experience and ability to be the sole Data Engineer
• Prior experience working in Consulting or financial services would be ideal
• A bachelor's Degree or a master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, or Mathematics is strongly preferred
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior executives and drive data decisions
This is a W2 contract, so C2C, Sponsorship, or OPT/CPT are not options for this role.
