Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled ETL Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SSIS, SSAS, and Power BI, and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data warehousing and business intelligence solutions. This position reports to the Supervisor of Data Warehousing and Data Governance.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using SSIS to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses.
• Develop and maintain OLAP cubes and data models using SSAS.
• Create and manage interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, power users and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Optimize ETL processes for performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Document ETL processes, data flows, and data models.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in ETL, data warehousing, and business intelligence.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an ETL Developer, in tools similar to SSIS, SSAS, SQL and Power BI.
• Proven experience working with a version control / code repository such as Azure DevOps or Git
• Proficiency in SQL and T-SQL for data manipulation and querying.
• Experience with data modeling and database design, preferably in an analytics or business intelligence environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong collaboration skills, able to receive feedback and offer feedback

Preferred Qualifications:
• Preferred experience in Visual Studio, SSIS, SSAS, SQL and Power BI.
• Knowledge of data visualization best practices.
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
• Certification in Microsoft SQL Server or related technologies.
