• Day to Day:

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our Aerospace and Defense client's Digital IT Shared Services team, supporting enterprise-wide data initiatives, backlog requirements, and the migration to their home grown enterprise analytics platform. This is a long-term, agile-driven role focused on data governance, technical deployments, and business intelligence (BI) analytics.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SQL, data analysis, ETL transformations, and data engineering tools such as Snowflake, Matillion, Data Vault, and Star Schema. The role demands strong communication and collaboration as you will interact with multiple stakeholders in an agile environment. This candidate should want to work on a team to contribute to a greater goal. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct data analysis, requirements gathering, and transformation processes for enterprise-wide initiatives.

• Design and implement ETL solutions using Matillion, Snowflake, and Data Vault methodologies.

• Support data governance and ensure compliance with best practices.

-Extensive knowledge of relational databases and SQL

• Collaborate with business and technical teams to align data solutions with company objectives.

• Participate in PI (Program Increment) planning sessions and agile backlog refinement meetings.

• Work closely with BI analytics teams leveraging Snowflake, Tableau, and Matillion for reporting and insights.

• Support enterprise-wide data migrations and deployments on the Analytics platform.

• Engage in continuous improvement efforts to optimize data pipelines and workflows.

Required Qualifications:
• - 8+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL processes, and data governance
• - Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Matillion, Data Vault, and Star Schema modeling
• - Strong understanding of data transformation and pipeline optimization
• - Experience working in agile development environments with a backlog-driven workload
• - Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across teams.
• - Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving business needs.
• Defense / Enterprise / Highly regulated industry specific experience required

Preferred Qualifications:
• - Experience in BI analytics tools such as Tableau
• - Familiarity with enterprise data governance frameworks
• - Experience working in a large-scale shared services environment
