Job Title: Data Analytics Platform Administrator

Client Name: Airbus North America IM (Information Management)

Office location: Herndon, Virginia US

Duration: 6 Months (possible extension)

Hybrid Working Mode: The position is planned to be hybrid: 3 days on site in Herndon (2 mandatory days on Monday and Wednesday, 3rd day preferably on Thursday but flexible).

Objective:

Airbus North America IM (Information Management) is looking for an experienced Data analytics platform administrator to manage all locally hosted Analytics platforms This role will report to Director, Digital Transformation

Job description:

The Services to be provided by the Analytics Software engineer include all relevant tasks and activities which are necessary to accomplish the expected objectives:
• Responsible for all administrative tasks related to locally hosted Analytics Platforms, including installation, maintenance, upgrades, and operations
• Liaison between other Digital departments such as Architects, Infrastructure, Enterprise Services, Desktop Services, Cybersecurity, etc to ensure compliance, security, change management, etc
• Serve as a technical liaison between the NA Analytics team and EU Big Data teams
• Perform audits and produce reports on analytics platform usage and performance
• Assist analytics teams with solving technical issues within the tool, or during upgrades
• Manage information on release notes, security bulletins, etc from software vendors

This position combines robust Windows and applications system administration skills and experience with a background in analytics and is an integral role to drive and create business value through data analytics across Airbus in North America.

Primary Responsibilities:

Analytics Platform Administration: 60%
• Installation, maintenance, and operations for all servers and services related to NA Analytics platforms (Alteryx, SQL Server, Tableau)
• Plan and execute software upgrades for analytics products
• Provision and log platform and end user licenses
• Author and maintain articles related to processes
• Work with Service Delivery Managers to monitor service level agreement compliance, as well as system requests and incidents
• Perform audits and produce reports on analytics platform usage and performance
• Initiating and updating system level components such as certificates and firewall change requests
• Work with architects to analyze various solutions for analytics products additions or changes
• Monitor incident/requests and assign to the appropriate team member
• Document processes and procedures for analytics administration
• Write knowledge articles for the service desk

Analytics Development: 10%
• Produce reports and dashboards on Analytics Platform usage and audits
• Become proficient in Alteryx and Tableau in order to assist data analysts with possible system or platform issues
• As a member of the team, serve as backup for development ETL workflows and visualizations, using various tools, that present data in understandable visual formats
• Support all Analytics team activities, including development, maintenance and operations Knowledge and Support on other Analytics Platforms: 10%
• Support the analytics team by becoming familiar with other enterprise analytics platforms (Qlik Sense, Palantir Foundry) technical aspects
• Assist in scoping projects by following decision trees and recommendations

Analytics Research – 10%
• Research and document new and improved features on existing tools
• Become familiar with new analytics technologies in Airbus and in the marketplace
• Stay current on latest analytics trends and emerging technologies
• Recommend new ways of using tools to further business needs

Other duties as assigned – 10%

Skills

Degree in Information Technology or Business Degree and equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least 3 years of experience in installing and configuring Windows applications, specifically analytics tools
• At least 3 years of experience in database management and data security
• At least 2 years of experience in Windows Server and desktop administration
• At least 2 years of experience in business and data analysis
• At least 2 years of experience delivering products and solutions under agile and/or waterfall methodologies
• Deep knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
• Understanding and experience in SQL databases and tools, particularly SQL Server
• Experience in installing and upgrading applications on Windows Servers
• Understanding of other technical components such as certificates, networking, authentication methods, ODBC, firewalls, active directory, Windows services, Windows Task Scheduler, etc
• Experience with the server and desktop versions of Tableau, Alteryx, or equivalentsts
