Data Analyst/Report Writer

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst/Report Writer for a 6+ month contract to develop data-driven insights and visualizations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Tableau Creator and Tableau Prep, as well as proficiency in Python, SQL, and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and research. Familiarity with geospatial analysis platforms such as ESRI is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards using Tableau Creator to visualize complex data.
• Design and deploy data flows using Tableau Prep to clean, transform, and integrate datasets.
• Conduct data analysis and research to identify trends, insights, and reporting improvements.
• Utilize Python, SQL, and Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
• Work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Develop geospatial analysis solutions using ESRI or similar platforms when required.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and best practices in reporting.
• Document processes and create user guides for dashboards and data workflows.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience creating data products with Tableau Creator.
• 3+ years of experience designing and deploying data flows in Tableau Prep.
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis and research.
• 1+ year of experience in Python, SQL, and Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and automation.
• 1+ year of experience working with geospatial analysis platforms (e.g., ESRI).
• Strong knowledge of data visualization principles, best practices, and reporting methodologies.
• Ability to interpret complex datasets and present insights effectively.

Preferred Skills & Additional Qualifications
• Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and predictive modeling.
• Experience integrating Tableau dashboards with external databases and APIs.
