As a Data Analyst for Brooksource, you will provide a blend of data analytics and business analysis on the operational side at our largest healthcare insurance client in Hoover, Alabama. In this role, you will support multiple divisions by analyzing healthcare usage and quality. This includes designing analyses, gathering data, and performing the analysis itself. You will also create and share regular reports and dashboards, along with ad hoc reports to support corporate goals and meet the needs of employer groups, providers, executives, and other internal customers. Qualified candidates will have experienced knowledge in IT processes and standards through a business lens and a background in healthcare or a clinical setting.

Minimum Qualifications:

   • 3+ years of experience working as a data/business analyst

   • Knowledge of reporting tools such as Tableau, Crystal Reports, or Toad

   • Demonstrated experience with SQL

   • Experience within a health-related environment, healthcare, or clinical setting is required

   • Bachelor’s Degree required

   • Ability to influence others using reasoning, persuasion, and negotiation; excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities:

   • Engage with application teams to initiate flow and ensure implementation of new solutions adhere to HIPAA and EDI standards

   • Pull analytics for reporting and run queries through Tableau, Crystal Reports, or Toad

   • Work with the team on process improvement, IT operations, and standards

   • Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions

   • Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies

   • Stay up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems

   • Perform requirements analysis

   • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports

   • Allocate resources and maintain cost efficiency

   • Perform user acceptance testing

   • Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements

   • Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects
