Position Overview:

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and presenting healthcare-related data to support internal initiatives and client needs. You will play a key role in the transformation of data into actionable insights that contribute to operational efficiency and data-driven decision making. This role requires strong technical knowledge, a passion for problem-solving, and an eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Analysis

·Collect, aggregate, and analyze data from multiple sources including SQL databases, Excel files, flat files, HL7 messages, and JSON structures.

·Develop and maintain SQL queries and scripts to support reporting and analytics needs.

·Assist in the configuration and support of HL7 and other data interfaces.

·Normalize, clean, and transform raw data for in-depth analysis.

Reporting and Visualization

·Develop SQL Queries for custom reporting, normalization of data, and ingestion of data into analytic systems.

·Understand and develop analytics specific to healthcare, including but not limited to: days in AR (DSO), profitability analysis, insurance follow-up process effectiveness, user productivity, financials grouped by financial class, chief complaint, coding of primary procedure or diagnosis, and revenue forecasting.

Documentation and Process Support

·Document data relationships and database schemas with limited existing documentation.

·Maintain clear records of queries, analytics processes, and data flow for internal use.

·Collaborate with team members to support efficient data operations and cross-functional projects.

Qualifications / Requirements:

·High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field preferred.

·Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database systems such as PostgreSQL are preferred.

·Strong SQL skills with experience in one or more relational database environments.

·Familiarity with data formats such as HL7 and JSON.

·Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

·Ability to prioritize and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

·1-2 years of experience with Tableau preferred
