Overview:
We're looking for an experienced Data Analyst to enhance the Employee and Labor Relations (ELR) team's data analytics and reporting program. This individual will improve our data capabilities by helping us produce high-quality and accurate data that drives actionable insights to positively impact the employee experience across Uber. This will be accomplished through the implementation of automated data integrity tools, establishment of comprehensive audit and action planning frameworks, and the development of data analysis capabilities within the ELR team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with stakeholders to develop and implement automation to proactively flag data issues within our case management system, Case IQ, and between Case IQ and Tableau, ensuring data accuracy and seamless integration
- Provide strategic guidance in the enhancement of an audit framework that captures our key data points and the case managers’ adherence to processes
- Optimize data visualization and trend analysis capabilities by defining heat mapping criteria and developing AI-driven trend detection
- Establish data governance best practices, including the creation of a data reporting infrastructure with standardized content, templates, and cadence
- Support the creation of an action planning framework, which will include upskilling the team in layering multiple data sources for trend spotting, root cause analysis, and turning insights into action; establish criteria for measuring the success of action plans
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in a Data Analyst or similar role
- Proficiency in Tableau and Google Sheets
- Strong programming skills (Python, R, SQL)
- Expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML)
- Ability to clean and transform data to ensure accuracy and consistency; demonstrated experience in developing automated tools for data quality assurance
- Skilled in layering complex data from multiple sources to draw insights
- Ability to identify trends within data and translate into clear, actionable insights to support decision making; knowledge of AI-driven analytics
- Experienced in data visualization best practices and presenting data findings in a clear and understandable way
- Understanding of audit frameworks, quality standards development, and data governance principles
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with keen attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or related field
- Experience working within Human Resources / Employee Relations case management systems (e.g. Case IQ)
- Prior Human Resources / Employee Relations-related analytics experience, including familiarity with case management, survey, and employee demographics data
