Key Responsibilities:
• Cognos BI Development:
• Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using Cognos BI.
• Optimize report performance and enhance reporting solutions.
• Create and maintain complex report templates, cubes, and metadata models.
• SQL Server Reporting:
• Develop reports based on SQL Server databases and stored procedures.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging:
• Identify and troubleshoot issues in report generation and data inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with the ETL team to resolve data pipeline or transformation issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and ensure the quality of reporting outputs.
• Data Integration & Analysis:
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and analyze reporting requirements.
• Implement solutions to present data insights effectively.
• Power BI Integration:
• Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards as complementary solutions to Cognos BI.
• Leverage Power BI for advanced data visualization and interactive reporting needs.
• Cloud Data Source Utilization (Nice to Have):
• Work with Azure cloud data sources and integrate them with BI reporting tools.
• Explore and recommend cloud-based reporting optimizations.
• Documentation & Best Practices:
• Maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, and reporting processes.
• Ensure compliance with best practices for data reporting and visualization.
