

Cloud CNO Engineer
The Cloud Engineer provides technical cloud engineering delivery leadership supporting a WAN/LAN transformation driven by a Telco-based approach. Responsible for designing, developing, and collaborating on new initiatives to increase customer network stability, reliability, and interoperability using a Hybrid and Multi-cloud architecture and a GitOps approach.
This position will require 3 days onsite their Alexandria, VA or Maryland office.
What You Will Be Doing
• Match customer requirements to advanced capabilities in the VNF/CNF space
• Implement, maintain, and design hybrid multi-cloud environments
• Design, develop, build, and deploy highly scalable, fault-tolerant, elastic and secure cloud-based and distributed services
• Lead decisions about cloud, non-cloud, and hybrid environments
• Administer prototype environments to compare other architectures and recommend styles that balance competing tradeoffs
• Document cloud environments for internal and customer needs (architecture, costs, CI/CD design, testing, etc.)
• Build end-to-end user service-oriented products, testing and integrating them with a mixture of distributed COTS and Open Source custom applications
• Work with various cloud-based architectures (public, private, and hybrid)
• Integrate external and internal cloud systems with non-cloud on-premise networks, allowing for secure communication between the systems in support of WAN and LAN transformation efforts
Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to the position; an additional 4 years of may be substituted in lieu of a degree
• Minimum of eight (8) years of directly related experience in addition to education level
• Experience in WAN/LAN, Telco, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments
• Experience with containerization platforms and cloud-native technologies
• Ability to concentrate on a wide range of loosely defined complex situations, which require creativity and originality, where guidance and counsel may be unavailable
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management tooling such as Terraform and Ansible
• Background in Linux/Unix administration
• Experience with working in DoD environments and with the authorization process
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevSecOps for designing, developing, and delivering using appropriate automation techniques or tools
• Ability to work through challenging security requirements and maintain compliance
• Must possess current DoD 8570 IAT/IAM III certification: AWS Cloud OR Microsoft Azure OR VMWare OR Red Hat OpenShift desired
• Current active TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
