Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will analyze complex data sets, develop insightful reports and dashboards, and partner with stakeholders to drive data-informed decision making through effective use of SQL, Tableau, and Python.
Core Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions
Write and optimize complex SQL queries using Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle SQL Developer
Create impactful Tableau dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders
Support and enhance existing ETL processes and data workflows
Document data lineage and business processes using Microsoft Visio
Develop Python scripts to automate data processing and reporting tasks
Partner with business teams to understand their analytical needs and provide data-driven solutions
Ensure data accuracy and maintain documentation of analyses and methodologies
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels

Required Technical Skills

Strong SQL expertise with Microsoft SQL Server (SSMS) and/or Oracle SQL Developer, including:
Common Table Expressions (CTE)
Stored procedures
ETL processes and SQL object management
Proficient in Tableau visualization development:
Parameters and interactive filtering
Level of Detail (LOD) calculations
Table calculations
Data blending and joining techniques
Working knowledge of Python for:
Database connectivity
API integration
Data processing and normalization
Experience with Microsoft Visio for:
Process flow documentation
Business workflow mapping
Technical documentation

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
2-4 years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics
Understanding of information schema and data relationships
Experience working in an Agile environment
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Experience with data governance and documentation practices

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:

8 hour shift
