Description

We’re seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to lead the creation, maintenance, and optimization of operational data reporting and tools. In this role, you’ll build and refine data pipelines, create data sets, and design reporting tools—including extracts, dashboards, and automated processes—to support critical business operations. Working within agile teams, you’ll handle end-to-end responsibilities from development and testing to deployment and post-launch support. This role is essential for enabling business stakeholders to access actionable insights through data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Data Development: Create and optimize SQL stored procedures, advanced queries, and scripts while rewriting SAS code into SSIS packages and Power BI formats.
• Data Architecture: Design, build, and maintain relational databases, processes, and ETL pipelines to ensure seamless automation and operational efficiency.
• Data Integration: Create, validate, and maintain batch jobs and stored procedures for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) critical data between systems using MS SQL Server and SSIS.
• Reporting and Visualization: Develop and test robust reports, data extracts, and dashboards that meet organizational needs.
• Automation: Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, implement daily maintenance routines, and ensure reliable data refresh mechanisms.
• Process Improvement: Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization on both existing and new data solutions.
• Collaboration & Testing: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support user acceptance testing (UAT), conduct validations, and assist with database migrations as needed.
• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to junior team members and contribute to team skill development.
• Leverage agile development methodologies to iteratively improve data systems and processes.
• Stay at the forefront of technological advancements and evaluate their applications within the organization.
• Implement and manage CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment) pipelines to streamline analytics code development and deployment.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning among team members.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and policies.

• Must be able to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with a focus on technical clarity.
• Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in SQL stored procedures, SSIS packages, ETL pipelines, and database design.
• Experience with data optimization, automation of processes, and database troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with transforming data for Power BI dashboards or other visualization tools.
• Background in rewriting and debugging SAS code is a plus.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant professional work in data engineering or a related field.
• Additional Requirements
• Must be able to adapt to and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Must possess a strong ability to learn and apply new technical and procedural information.
• Hybrid work arrangement: In-office presence is necessary three days per week.
