Business Intelligence Analyst

Reporting to BI Technical Manager
O ur permanent hybrid policy sees us all working at least four days across a fortnight in the office.
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a crucial role in helping to develop and support reporting and data requests across the organisation to improve decision-making and stakeholder engagement. With a new data strategy project underway, we're looking for someone with a strong understanding of the latest technology in Azure, specifically Power BI, to help drive insightful, data-driven decisions across the organisation.
You'll collaborate with teams to resolve issues, find solutions, and enhance our reporting systems to support both internal stakeholders and business operations.
Key responsibilities
Understanding business needs and converting the stakeholder requirements into robust technical solutions.
Gathering and developing reports in Power BI in collaboration with the business.
Maintaining standards and documenting any development work that is done.
Building and maintaining relationships with a full range of internal stakeholders to enhance and maximise the provision of solutions.
effectively sharing knowledge and training other team members on new features in Power BI. This ensures that the team stays updated with the latest functionalities and can leverage them for better reporting and data analysis.
To be considered for this role, you'll need to show us that you've got the skills and capabilities. You'll have to meet the following minimum criteria:
Minimum Criteria
Having experience in implementing and managing Power BI semantic models
Experience in building applications using Microsoft PowerApps.
In-depth knowledge with core Azure services (e.g., Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure DevOps Services, Azure App Service)
Understanding of building automation using Microsoft power automate
Experience in querying and analysing data by using Structured Query Language (SQL) and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
Desirable Criteria
We would also like you to have the following skills:
A collaborative team player who enjoys helping people get the information they require.
Having great attention to detail to ensure the right solution is delivered and is accurate.
