Business Data Analyst

Our London based Retail Banking client is urgently looking to recruit a contract Business Data Analyst to assist on data reporting themed assignment. The role focuses on regulatory analytics and reporting using Looker Studio, working closely with relevent teams to ensure the availability of required data and the creation of clear, insightful reports.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst with proven data analytics experience or a Business Intelligence Analyst from a banking background who has a proven track record of using Looker Studio and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with client data teams to ensure the required data is available within Looker Studio.
• Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure reporting meets their needs.
• Provide guidance on best practices for regulatory analytics and data visualization.
• Act as a key liaison between business and data functions, ensuring alignment on reporting objectives.

Key Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst with data analytics expertise or a Business Intelligence Analyst within the banking sector.
• Strong proficiency in Looker Studio, ideally with experience in regulatory analytics reporting.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to elicit requirements and translate business needs into clear reports.
• Experience working within a Banking environment (ideally Retail Banking).
• A strong understanding of data reporting best practices and regulatory requirements is advantageous.

Please note that this role wont involve any data interrogation so wouldnt suit a technical data analyst looking for a SQL or Python role.
