 Seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join team supporting a strategic Program. Successful candidate will have proven experience in providing business and process analysis expertise to Agile development teams. Successful candidate will serve as a liaison between the business and technology while also serving as a backup to the Product Owner and Scrum Master as needed. Successful candidate will be comfortable supporting technical work sessions, design flow-diagrams, and architecture designs using SparX EA and/or MS Visio.

 Candidate is able to work remotely from home on EST hours; however, must also be willing to travel for onsite meetings as needed in Indiana. Travel is likely for all PI planning events but will occur outside of this on occasion as well.

 Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required

  6 – 8 years’ experience as a Business Analyst (including requirements development) required

  Previous experience as a Product Owner in an Agile project is a plus

  2-4 years of group and voluntary experience is preferred

  Ability to design flow-diagrams/architecture designs using MS Visio or SparX is required

  JIRA software experience a significant plus

  Solid understanding of project management techniques/methodologies

  Competent use of Microsoft Office applications to include Microsoft Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Access required

  Capability to multitask and work on a variety of projects and teams is essential

  Ability to assume project management role as necessary

  Ability to perform ScrumMaster (SM) duties for agile development team required

  Ability to lead backlog grooming, estimation & retrospective meetings

  Lean-Agile experience a plus

  Ability to comfortably communicate with multiple levels of employees throughout the organization with minimal supervision

  Previous experience with the EIS core software is a significant plus

General Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for working with the SME’s and Business Owners in defining stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities, while maintaining conceptual and technical integrity of the features executed by the team

  Works closely with Product Management to prepare for PI Planning

  During PI Planning the BA is involved with story definition, providing clarifications necessary to assist the team with their story estimates and story sequencing, and drafting the team's specific objectives for the upcoming Program Increment.

  The BA may also participate in the preparation of the PI System Demo to make sure that they will be able to show the most critical aspects of the solution to the stakeholders.

  Coordinates real world testing and exploratory testing activities, works closely with business on executing testing activities

  Utilizing key stakeholders and SMEs, research, facilitate discussions, analyze, and evaluate options and for presentation to management.

  Create and deliver through the full sign off, target state process flows, business requirements, user stories, process, and tools by working with Key Stakeholders to elicit information and gain agreement.

  Understand the target vision and communicate that vision to stakeholders, particularly when conflict arises.

  Assist in the prioritizing of backlog and capabilities.

  Serve as the primary liaison between business and technical stakeholders where technical capabilities are being developed, particularly where alignment is needed on future direction.

  Assist with end-to-end testing and identification of defects before migration to production.

  Make informed recommendations on how the business should best utilize technical capabilities under development.

  Provides oversight, including Scrum Master & project management, to cross functional changes that includes both process and system changes.

  Manage project tasks or parts of the project plan assigned within scope, quality and timeframe allocated with minimal supervision

  Identify, evaluate, and track progress of project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, escalating them appropriately with suggested mitigating actions and implementing as directed.

Pay and Benefits

 The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
