Contract: 6-month contract + Extensions / Conversion

Salary : $42-52/hr based on experience
Job description:
Insight Global is seeking a mid-level Business Analyst to join the team of a local medical device client. As a Business Analyst on this team, you will be responsible for analyzing, documenting, and facilitating the transition from a legacy database system to a modern solution. You will work closely with stakeholders, project managers, IT teams, and sales operations to ensure a smooth and efficient migration process. Your role will involve understanding the intricacies of the existing systems, identifying potential risks, and developing strategies to mitigate them. You will also be instrumental in ensuring data integrity and consistency throughout the transition, and in providing support and training to end-users to help them adapt to the new systems. Additionally, you will play a key role in continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging your insights to optimize processes and enhance overall system performance. This is a hybrid role, working onsite 3x a week. This opportunity can be between $42-52/hr based on experience.
Must haves:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3-5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably with experience in database systems and migration projects
• Experience working with Microsoft tools (they are a Microsoft shop)
• Confidence and comfortability taking initiative and working with some ambiguity
• Azure DevOps exposure
• Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in data modeling and database management
• Experience with project management methodologies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics
• Medical device or regulated industry experience
Key Responsibilities:
• Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for the new database system.
• Analysis: Analyze current legacy systems to identify data, processes, and dependencies that need to be addressed during the migration.
• Documentation: Create detailed documentation of current systems, including data models, workflows, and integration points.
• Solution Design: Work with IT teams to design and propose solutions that meet business needs and ensure data integrity during the transition.
• Testing: Develop and execute test plans to ensure the new system meets business requirements and functions correctly.
• Training: Assist in the development and delivery of training materials for end-users to facilitate a smooth transition.
• Project Support: Provide ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle, including issue resolution and change management.
