Business Analyst
Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to support a large-scale project aimed at identifying and discontinuing unnecessary colocation expenses. Millions of dollars in stranded cross-connects and colocation sites continue to be invoiced despite account closures. The project requires data reconciliation across multiple systems to determine active and inactive sites, initiate disconnect orders, and track cost savings. This is a fully remote, 2 month long contract.
Required Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years in data analysis, business analysis, or a similar role.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Familiarity with SQL and database querying (preferred).
• Knowledge of database and invoice management (experience with Razor Flow is a plus).
• Soft Skills:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for vendor and internal team interactions.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to resolve data inconsistencies.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in financial tracking, savings analysis, or operational efficiency reporting, preferably in a telecommunications environment.
• Background in handling large datasets and performing data reconciliation.
• Understanding of business process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze colocation invoices, circuit records, and billing data to identify active and inactive sites.
• Verify data accuracy by working directly with colocation vendors.
• Execute disconnect orders for unnecessary services and ensure proper documentation.
• Coordinate the return of client-owned equipment to remove it from the depreciation schedule.
• Maintain accurate record-keeping and audit trails to measure cost savings.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather invoices and validate data.
• Communicate with vendors to confirm site activity and update internal records.
TSG is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
