

Business Analyst II
A national non-profit in Alexandria is looking for a Business Analyst II on a 6-month contract to hire basis. This is hybrid onsite - you will be in office 2 days per week.
The Business Analyst II is responsible for helping business partners implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a product, project or program, and communicating them clearly to teams. Business Analyst II provides general analytical support across the IT organization, and therefore should understand key business processes, key business drivers, as well as short and long-term strategies and related technologies. During development, he/she deals with issues and questions, while providing support in implementing required changes. The Business Analyst III also performs user testing and supports quality efforts.
A technical background, especially with software development is required as is data analysis skills including SQL are required.
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Required Skills & Experience
• 5 or more years of relevant experience, including:
• Experience in requirements gathering process for IT systems
• Experience In working closely with engineering, quality assurance, and customer support teams
• Experience in data migration and Integration
• Experience with relational databases, and writing queries
• Experience with reporting, SSRS or Power BI
• Experience developing support materials, including SOPs and Help Guides
• Experience leading joint application sessions (JAD)
• Experience with tracking risks and changes
• Significant experience in requirements gathering and documentation, process flows and working with software engineering team
• Technical background, especially with software development is required
• Data analysis skills including SQL are required
• Demonstrated knowledge of one or more agile software development methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing
• Possess a “can-do” style and a demonstrated interest in understanding the business
Desired Skills & Experience
• Professional certification in Business Analysis (PBI) or any relevant certifications preferred
