Big Data Engineer

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Big Data Engineer

Position type: Full-time Contract

Duration: 18 Months

Location: Plano, TX or Reston, VA - Hybrid

As a Big Data Engineer, you will:
• Help ensure that our technological infrastructure operates seamlessly in support of business objectives
• Develop and implement pipelines that extract, transform, and load data
• Focus on ingesting, storing, processing, and analyzing large datasets
• Create scalable, high-performance web services for tracking data
• Translate complex technical and functional requirements into detailed designs
• Investigate alternatives for data storing and processing to ensure implementation of the most streamlined solutions

Skills/Experience required include:
• Good knowledge on AWS infrastructure: EMR, SQS, SNS, Lambda, S3, IAM, Glue Catalog are a must
• Excellent Python developer skills.
• Has experience in developing PySpark code. UNIX shell script is a plus
• Good understanding of unstructured database, such as Hive
• Excellent knowledge in writing SQL query for data ingestion and data analysis
• Worked with GitHub / Terraform pipeline, or Jenkins / UCD pipeline

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range
• : $75-$80/Hr
• Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
