Position Summary:

Redaptive seeks a BI & Data Governance Engineering Lead, to lead Redaptive’s data and analytics initiatives by providing both hands-on technical leadership and strategic direction. You’ll drive our Open Data Initiative and BI strategy while ensuring robust governance of our data assets. Your role will be crucial in:
• Implementing and managing our data governance framework using Databricks Unity Catalog within AWS ecosystem
• Leading our Open Data Initiative to democratize data access and improve organizational data literacy
• Driving the integration of Tableau with Databricks and implementing AI-powered self-service analytics
• Developing embedded BI solutions for both internal tools and customer-facing SaaS products
• Creating scalable and reliable analytics that serve Fortune 500 clients
• Collaborating with data stewards to enhance data quality and cataloging

Responsibilities And Duties:

Strategic Leadership & Governance:
• Lead implementation of Open Data Initiative and data governance frameworks
• Drive data literacy programs and collaboration with data stewards
• Guide evaluation and implementation of AI-powered self-service analytics tools
• Develop strategies for embedded analytics within SaaS products
• Establish PII data protection policies and controls

Hands-on Technical Leadership:
• Implement and manage Databricks Unity Catalog and AWS data services
• Configure and optimize Tableau integration with Databricks
• Set up data quality monitoring and PII protection frameworks
• Implement embedded BI components for SaaS products
• Create and maintain data access controls and security measures
• Develop and maintain data quality standards and metrics

Operational Leadership:
• Drive continuous improvement across BI solutions
• Implement and optimize Agile development processes
• Manage resource allocation and team development
• Ensure compliance with PII data handling requirements

Required Abilities And Skills:

Proven track record of:
• Implementing data governance frameworks
• Leading data democratization initiatives
• Managing embedded analytics in SaaS products
• Collaborating with data stewards

Education And Experience:
• 10+ years of BI and data governance experience, with 5+ years in engineering management
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• AWS data services and Databricks platform
• Tableau enterprise deployment and governance
• SQL and data modeling
• Data quality frameworks and PII data protection
• Unity Catalog or similar data catalog solutions

Preferred Experience:
• Experience with AI-powered analytics tools
• Track record of improving organizational data literacy
• Experience with multi-tenant BI architectures
• International team management experience
