Contract Duration: 6 months with a chance for extension
Summary
Our client is looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer for a 6-month W2 contract to join their team! In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing Azure infrastructure, automating processes, and ensuring the security and compliance of cloud resources.
Responsibilities
• Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure components, including virtual networks, virtual machines, and storage accounts
• Provision, maintain, and enhance cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated deployments and continuous integration
• Ensure security and compliance of Azure resources by implementing best practices and monitoring for potential threats
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Azure-related issues at both infrastructure and application levels
• Implement Azure Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions for data integrity and application availability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Azure services seamlessly into applications
• Drive automation initiatives using tools such as Ansible
• Serve as a liaison to Architecture and Security teams to ensure cloud resources and DevOps pipelines are secure, scalable, resilient, monitored, and auditable
• Represent the team in Change Management and Change Board activities
• Document automation processes, maintain environment diagrams, and update team onboarding materials
Requirements
• Proven experience designing and deploying Azure infrastructure
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipeline configuration
• Familiarity with security and compliance best practices for cloud environments
• Experience with troubleshooting infrastructure and application issues on Azure
• Understanding of backup and disaster recovery strategies for Azure
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
Education/Certification Requirements
• Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience required
Preferred Requirements
• Azure-related certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) are a major plus
